So what does this have to do with guests? Well, we had the privilege of hosting two sisters from a church in Idaho. They stayed in our home for the first few days of the camp. They were a blessing to have around. They loved helping in the kitchen or with the kids, were well-mannered, and just plain fun. They come from a large family and had lots of fun stories.

Music Camp
Our church hosted its first music camp this year for students in the fourth through twelfth grades. It was an opportunity for kids to come and learn all kinds of stuff having to do with music in the church. They covered a lot of territory (including reading music, latin, choral singing, theology of music, psalms, and lots more). I had the opportunity to play for the primary grades. I actually only ended up mostly playing the soprano line which was a bummer and a relief all at once. I still haven't played much since returning to the U.S. and although I would have loved to play more for the camp, I don't think my muscles were up for it. I had a blast playing and it reminded me how much I absolutely love playing the piano and doing choir music - I've had an extended break from it all, in case you didn't know. And it reminded me that I need to start practicing again.
