A Good Read

My brother tried for years to get me to read The Hobbit. Why I didn't I'll never know, but after I saw the first Lord of the Rings movie, I knew I had to read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings since I was sure the book would be even better than the movie. I was not disappointed and so for the past few years I have read them all every year. My time had come again and so I have just finished The Hobbit and am just into The Fellowship of the Ring. Doug bought me a very nice boxed paperback set about six years ago for Christmas and they made it to Peru and back looking as lovely as ever. For me, there are fewer things as comforting as a well-loved, well-written book. And it is a good exercise in self-control since I have some serious issues when it comes to trying to put these books down.
