The Year in Pictures...

...or at least the first 8 months of the year in pictures. I'll admit the pictures aren't the best quality, but the older I get the more I realize to forget the picture and just enjoy the moment.
Here's a snapshot of our life this year. I have no pictures downloaded since August so this is the best I could come up with. :-)

Don't ask what happened the first two months of the year. I can't remember. But in March, we used some airline vouchers to make the big trip back East to visit Doug's grandmother. We hadn't seen her in almost 6 years.

We took advantage of our travel time and stopped in Pennsylvania to see Doug's "little" brother and family (these are his two daughters). Doug's parents made the drive up from North Carolina to visit as well.

Next stop was at Westminster Seminary in Eastern PA where we saw Chris Brown. Okay, not THE Chris Brown, but our friend that served with us in Pucallpa. We shared almost our entire time in Peru, including language school, with him.

Then we made our way to Rhode Island to see Doug's grandmother. While there we stayed with Doug's aunt and uncle and got to meet all their grandchildren. Good times. :)

More Second Cousins

We got back and Doug gave his two weeks notice for his job. Two weeks later he started working at our church full-time. A week after that we got keys to the church parsonage and we started tearing out carpet.

You can see here the padding and a little bit of the carpet on the right. Yes, I know. We were absolutely mad to get rid of that lovely green carpet. :)

Doug worked like a madman...

And I went to cooking classes with our pastor's wife and learned to make stuff like this.

Here's a during photo of the sanding process. I don't think I even have an after photo yet.

We stayed at this fancy hotel room for free the night before we moved out of our condo and into the church parsonage.

And this little gal turned two.

We finally found renters for our condo a few days before we headed to CA.

And then we played like crazy in CA with our family. But this is the only picture I have downloaded of our trip so far. :)

And in case you read this blog and I haven't talked you in the last month or so, we're also having another baby next year! Would I say I'm blessed. Yes. Very much.
