No News Is No News
We are still waiting for this baby to show its face to the world. Wednesday I found out I was somewhere between 5 and 6 cm dilated - not bad. Then yesterday the excitement started. There seemed to be some signs that my body was starting to take this labor thing a little more seriously. We even sent the kids off to our friends' house for the night in hopes to free my mind to just let it happen - and nothing did. I did manage to wake up in the middle of the night and wait 2 1/2 hours or so to get tired enough to fall asleep again. I walked in circles for almost 40 minutes, I got on the computer, I tried to read a little bit, and I just laid there. For a while my contractions seemed to even be picking up a bit, but it all faded away. Thankfully, I was able to catch up on the sleep I missed with a long morning nap and I got to spend some extra time with the girls this afternoon which was nice. After dinner, we took a nice, long family walk to the park. I have to admit that apart from not knowing when exactly the baby will come, it has been nice this past week to just savor some special moments in rest and have some extra time with the kids and with Doug when he's not studying. So, the waiting continues...

Aww, still thinking of you guys and praying for you. I know you are anxious to meet your newest Matangelo, but it sounds like you all are making the best of the waiting. Here's to hoping the waiting is over soon. :)
Blessings!!!
(and I hope I don't see you tomorrow at church!) :)
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! we are so excited for you guys and your new baby. :) Post pictures soon. And I'll be coming by on Friday (early afternoon) to drop off a meal. I'll call you before I drop it off. We'll keep you in prayer this week as you adjust to your bigger, sweeter family. :)
