So, intsead of cleaning the kitchen or catching up on laundry or even taking a nap (because I am really tired at the moment) I decided to post some pics from the past few months so you can see some of the not-so-day-to-day stuff we've been up to.
As I've written before, it snowed in December - record breaking snow for three weeks. I really enjoyed it and then it stopped. Personally, if it's going to be cold I would much rather it be snowing, but ever since December, we've had nothing impressive in the area of snow fall. Here's a picture outside of our condo:
And a picture of our street which was not plowed for a couple weeks, but everytime we called the city, we were informed that it had been plowed twice already. I did see a plow truck on our road once during this time, but that was while he was turning around to plow a small side street connected to our street. After breaking a couple sets of chains trying to get out of our driveway, Doug called a few city workers and got hung up on. A bunch of neighbors also rallied together and called a local news station. Finally a plow truck came. It was a glorious day to be able to get out of our street without Dukes of Hazard moves. I'm not kidding; I watched Doug leave for work lots of times full-speed ahead making the car come off the ground in hopes of getting enough momentum to get through our street to the plowed street mentioned above.
At the beginning of January we decided to paint our kitchen. Sorry, we only have during shots, no before or after - don't ask why. The kitchen is now a cheery yellow color which really helps on the dreary days.
Doug's parents and sister came to visit in January. The girls got to go ice skating for the first time and loved it.

We watched Mary Poppins together as a family one Friday evening. I know it doesn't sound terribly exciting, but it was my first time to watch it and Alyssa dressed up like Mary Poppins for weeks afterwards. She is such a fashionista...
We celebrated Annalisa's seventh birthday in February. Since she had a big party last year, we just had a simple family dinner together which really helped the pregnant mother out. I know moms need to be careful of bragging, but I must say I am so pleased to watch her growing into a lovely, godly, and caring young lady.
And then there's Andrew. He keeps me on my toes and keeps me laughing and thanking God for the blessing of children.
