I thought I would post some pics of what we've been experiencing the past three weeks. The week before Christmas we had a little snow on the ground. Then, over a 24 hour period, we got about two feet. Sometime during this 24 hour period, I watched the news and was told by the trusty weatherman (please note sarcasm) that we would probably get about 2 inches more overnight. And while I was getting Annalisa ready for school the next morning I had the brilliant idea of actually looking outside and I told Doug, "That has to be at least another foot!" So Annalisa had two snow days before Christmas break.
This is actually a picture of the condo across from ours. They look almost exactly the same. This picture was taken less than 24 hours after the first snow storm hit. After we realized that school was shut down, we decided we better start trying to get Doug's car shoveled out so he could go to work:

But we had no luck. After an hour-and-a-half of shoveling and after breaking a set of chains and only getting Doug's car backed out about 10 feet, we decided that Doug probably wasn't going to make it to work. And the snow continued for the next 3 weeks almost non-stop. Over 6 feet of snow fell during the month of December shattering any record in the written weather history of Spokane. Oh, and we had a lot of fun!
