Blessed Along the Way

Well, true to form my usual "morning" sickness has kicked in meaning I feel pretty terrible from the time I wake up until the time I fall asleep. I have to admit that this pregnancy seems to be better than most. The best way to describe it is that during my last three pregnancies I felt so nauseous I thought I was going to die. My first pregnancy was marked by throwing up just about anything and everything that went into my body for a few months. The next two pregnancies were much better - I could at least keep some food down. This pregnancy is by far the best. I have been able to keep most of my food down and I have these chunks of time where I feel nauseous, but it is quite bearable - this is completely foreign to me (Doug tells me that considering the subject "chunks" was a poor choice of words here -sorry). So it seems that my blogging is going to get quite sporadic.

Also true to form, my home fell into disaster. I guess having a pretty bad time with allergies and caring for sick children while pregnant didn't help. But I hate it when my home is this way and I start to get VERY overwhelmed. But I have been blessed immensely this past week by a number of people in our church. First of all, our pastor told Doug that we need to be provided a meal per week by the church family, so he put us on the list. Wow! Next, I had three offers this week by women to pick up items for me while they were at the grocery store. Yesterday, a woman from church and two of her daughters used their day off from homeschooling to come clean house for me. They did everything - bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, laundry, dusting, vacuuming, and even cleaned out my fridge which was a fright since that is the last thing that helps my stomach these days. On top of it, they brought us a bunch of frozen meals, baby food, disposable plates, cups, and cutlery along with a pack of peppermint gum and a magazine! As much as this blessed me, I think it blessed Doug even more since he didn't have to spend his evening doing my responsibilities on top of his. And lastly, a single male friend of ours came over tonight to go to a meeting at church with Doug and brought an incredible pork roast with potatoes.

WOW! I am so glad our sisters and brothers are taking care of you guys. The family of God is such a blessing. I am glad to hear this time around it is a little better with the sickness- I still don't know how you made it thru Annalisa's preg. Love you guys!

Yeah, I can't believe I made it through that pregnancy either, but I do know women who have had a much worse time than I had.
