Rude Songs

I think every family needs somebody like Alyssa. She always has something funny to say which brings a smile to my face. The past month brought these two little funnies our way which I realize might not be very funny if you have never heard the songs that I am going to write about.

One day we were in the car listening to a Jamie Soles song about Cain. Alyssa said, "Mommy, I LOVE this song! Do you know why I love this song? Because we can yell it!" There really is no yelling in the song, but I think if you heard the song you would understand.

A couple Sundays ago, Alyssa was sick with croup and I stayed home from church with her. That afternoon I was looking at the bulletin to see which songs were sung during the service. I decided to play a few on the piano. One of them was from Psalm 119 and about halfway through the song, each part comes in one at a time starting with the basses. Alyssa and Doug were in the other room while Annalisa and I sang the song. Alyssa said to Doug, "Daddy, what are they singing? Oh, I know. It's the interrupting song."
